The public school as a major cultural investment of advanced democracies. This means rebuilding the civic fabric on which are grafted the very conditions of economic development and are re-defined times, ways and spaces of political mediation. But the award of a new centrality of education as a place for training of future generations must necessarily pass through a rethinking of the "public", which should vouch for the State reaffirming the size of the secular learning and teaching. Just by the protagonists of our school and university system must start afresh, by performing a process of retraining of teaching staff, in recognition of her social role and in determining their professionalism. The company is required to make available to their children, their grandchildren, their children, for tomorrow's citizens the best human resources, promising to recognize their respective responsibilities and corresponding salary and union protections to the significant work they do. An advanced democracy, worthy of the fame, and is obliged to give their citizens a public school with these characteristics.
